My fitness journey with Farmgirlfit began a year ago when Lisa Job talked me into trying it out. The timing couldn’t have been better. I had hit an all-time high in the stress department. My mother was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 67. Then a few months later, my sister was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma and inflammatory breast cancer that have metastasized to the abdomen. That is when Lisa suggested FGF. I was a little hesitant initially, but after the first class, I was hooked. There is no other workout like it. I will never go back to a “regular” gym. It’s more than just the workouts, though. I am so thankful to Lisa for introducing me to FGF. It has truly been a life saver for me. A place to get rid of all the stress. I feel amazing after every workout. It gives me sanity in a crazy world.
My family. I want to be able to keep up with my kids!
I never thought I would be able to do box jumps. Just looking at the box was intimidating. I am now able to use the 20” box…with full concentration.
I want to continue to work on my upper body strength. I would love to be able to do a handstand. Run a 9 minute mile.
AC/DC or Metallica
Squats are my favorite. I have seen a lot of mobility improvement in this area along with better form. Least favorite is…Burpees.
The support and encouragement. I love walking into the gym in the morning and seeing familiar faces. The 5:30 am class is such a happy bunch for so early in the morning.

FGF has given me increased confidence in myself and the ability to go beyond my comfort zone. We recently went zip lining. I am terrified of heights and I wasn’t sure I would be able to complete the entire course. I made it to the very end, albeit scared to death, but I DID IT!
As a family, we stay busy hiking, fishing and camping. We are hoping to hike to some new areas this year and do some backpack camping.
Anywhere with my family.
A dentist.
Dark chocolate…don’t tell my dentist! 😉
Stick with it and don’t give up. I have noticed a lot of improvement in the last year. I am stronger and more confident.
